Hawaiian Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi is an ancient spiritual and healing art performed in the temples of Hawai’i and passed down through family lineages. As a massage therapist, I have always been moved by the lineage passed on by Kahu Abraham Kawai’i. This work is called Ke Ala Hoku, which means “Pathway to the Stars.” This bodywork has the power to take you home to yourself, to the stars, clearing the way for your unique light to shine out into the world.

Lomi Lomi is performed with long, sweeping strokes of the forearms, like ocean waves rolling over the body. As you are cradled in a sacred space, the presence of a loving touch uncovers the source of all life that lies within each of us. Everything in nature is sacred, and everything within us is sacred.

Ancient Lomi Lomi washes away layers of resistance from the body, allowing old patterns to unwind. Light shines in and illuminates us, awakening the consciousness to our authentic selves. A healing form of traditional Hawaiian massage, Lomi Lomi is a transformative journey back to self, therapeutic on all levels of our being. Our connection to Life, the life within us and surrounding us, becomes more joyful and easier to feel.

This work is especially helpful during times of transition, grief, a feeling of “stuckness” or sudden expansion, confusion or simply the desire to explore your life more deeply.
